Brighton Theatre Company is excited to announce their 2023 season launch is set to take place on Saturday 3rd December at the Brighton Arts and Cultural Centre, Corner of Carpenter St and Wilson St, Brighton. Please book your free tickets via our website.

As a special treat the launch will begin with a keynote address by bayside residents Fiona Harris and Mike McLeish who are both award winning Television and Stage performers and authors.

Fiona is an award-winning Australian writer and actor. Over the past twenty years, Fiona has been writing and performing for television, film and theatre, and writing books for adults and children. She co-wrote, and co-produced the internationally award-winning comedy web series, The Drop Off, with her husband, Mike McLeish, and they both star in the series, which was picked up by Channel 9 and screened as a telemovie in 2021. Fiona co-starred and co-wrote on various sketch comedy series’, including Flipside on ABCTV, Comedy Inc – The Late Shift on Channel 9, and SkitHouse on Channel 10. Her numerous television acting credits include roles in The Beautiful Lie, Upright, Tangle, Ex-PM, Mr & Mrs Murder, The Time of Our Lives, Offspring, Beaconsfield and The Librarians. She has performed in, and written, numerous theatre productions, as well as many shows for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, including the hit show, Plus One, with Mike.

Mike is best known to Australian audiences for his portrayal of Paul Keating in Casey Bennetto’s Keating! The Musical. Mike has also appeared in Eddie Perfect’s Shane Warne The Musical, Chunky Move’s Two Faced Bastard, the Hayes Theatre Company’s revival of Nick Enright and Max Lambert’s Miracle City, as well as Georgy Girl: The Seekers Musical, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and David Bowie’s Lazarus, as well as performing internationally with renowned musical improvisation troupe Spontaneous Broadway. Off stage, Mike has appeared in television roles on Offspring, The Librarians, Bed Of Roses, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Lowdown, Utopia, Wentworth and Mustangs FC.

As well as hearing from these renowned performers Brighton Theatre Company will be announcing their 2023 Season lineup of productions and to support this special occasion, the 2023 directors will also be present to provide a behind the scenes view on what to expect from their shows next year. 

There will also be a short series of performances reminding audiences of the talent and calibre of performances they can expect to see on the Brighton Theatre Company Stage!

To see out the day the Brighton Theatre Company Management team will be hosting refreshments and a post event informal Christmas party. All guests are encouraged to celebrate with them the year that was. 2022 being their first full season post-pandemic.
